The food was delicious, customer service was great, the ambiance was great as well, the pizza was cheesy, gooey and super tasty, truly one of the best Italian restaurants in didsbury, but there is still some room for improvement when it comes to the toilets.

Ok, so here goes with my first review. When I decided that I was going to be completely gluten free I felt great, this was a positive way to make a real difference to my health, then I realised I wouldn't be able to eat some of my favourite foods, not so great! I'm not ashamed to say that pizza has always been a favourite of mine, so I set out on a mission to see if a gluten free pizza actually existed? They did but good god they were different, they either fell apart when you picked them up or the bases were that thick it would take a couple of hours to get through a slice and cost a week's wage for the privilege? Then I chanced upon Croma in Chorlton, I was reluctantly dragged along anticipating yet another unispiring, dull offering. I ordered a Greek pizza on a gluten free base, wow a revelation just like the old days, thin base, stayed in tact, good taste, awesome! Dominos is a name everyone knows and they have a shop across the road, they too have gluten free offerings, but their bases are awful and way overpriced, not comparable in the slightest. The only minor issue is the size, they are a bit small, but thats personal opinion, maybe I'm a tad greedy?! I am hooked, well done to the person who discovered the receipe for the base I would pay good money for it. If you are gluten free and have a craving for good pizza, I recommend trying Croma, they also offer a takeaway service.

A perfect little chain, for me this feels like pizza express but more loving! The food is good, although for me it's about the classics! I love standard pizzas done well, and I'm no fan of novelty ones. This place is what it looks like, an affordable night out with a good standard of food. Great for family do's in the lovely conservatory, or is really top notch to sit as a couple in the outer front area. When it's a warm night the sliding windows come open and it's lovely! Early bird deals are big value and I swear one day I'll have a special... They look so good but the pizza gets me every time!

Croma is really reliable, it has had the same airy decor and menu (pretty much) since I started going a few years ago, something I really love. The main reason for the five star review is that Croma is cheap without sacrificing quality. For example a meal with with two pizzas one starter and one dessert is usually about 24 pounds. The pizzas come in many different varieties like peppered steak, tandoori and pepperoni. Theyre beautifully thin and crispy and you can choose your own toppings as well. I have the same damn thing every time I go because it is delicious. The tandoori chicken salad, which comes with a heap of romaine lettuce, cashews, red onions and peppers, yoghurt raita dressing AND a serving of doughballs! All for six pounds ninety five!!! The house wines are decent enough and they also have a cocktail list with champagne cocktails on which I would love to try. Also it's pretty much a chav free zone.

Aah, Croma and I go back a LONG way. In fact, I was there at the launch party, exceptionally hungover and incapable of eating anything, when much to my dismay, all the food and wine was on the house. Gutted!!! The restaurant is divided into 2 areas: the front decor is fresh white walls, large fireplace and beams, rather like a kitchen in a barn conversion and the rear of the building is a long, glass conservatory, perfect for parties but in the Summer it would require you to wear sunglasses and factor 50. Croma doesn't do surprises; the menu never changes but the food is nice and I think its consist nature is a positive attribute. How irritating is it to enjoy a meal somewhere and when you return a few weeks later, salivating in anticipation of a repeat performance of your favourite dish, it is nowhere to be found on the menu and you are stuck with the steak. The service is fast and friendly with young staff but the floors are uneven and the harsh wooden chairs and tables are a bit rickety on the bumpy tiles. This place is seriously anti smoking and even at the outside seating you get told off like a naughty school girl for lighting up!! These are only small complaints though, all is forgiven by Croma's doughballs . They accompany the amazing duck or tandoori chicken salads and are my naughty little treat. Croma also does a tasty lasagna in a little dish and the sticky toffee pudding is calorific and terrific. Croma is my lunch- with- the- girls place and evening- with- the -hubby place.Daytime gets busy with mums and babies and Croma is a very child friendly venue. It is great value- a meal for two with drinks is approximately £20 and you leave satisfied and chilled out. You can go there for its occasional wine evenings or for Chorlton Arts festival. Me? Well I go for the doughballs.

I first came to this restaurant when I was a student, and I felt a little bit out of place. It's not particularly posh, but it's not really a jeans and hoody kind of restaurant. Croma is part of a chain of three restaurants, with one in the city centre and one in Prestwich. It serves a similar range of dishes to chains such as Pizza Express and at similar prices, but I would choose Croma over any of these chains any day. I would disagree with Alison B. about the clinical atmosphere - I would say that it is minimalist but stylish, and is always full of couples and small groups of friends no matter what night of the week it is. Most importantly, the pizzas are outstanding. My favourite is the Florentina which consists of an amazing mix of garlic, spinach, mozzarella and parmesan which a fried egg on top. It's making me hungry just thinking about it. At £6.95 for this generous medium-sized pizza you will probably have some money left over to have a slice of caramel and pecan cheesecake afterwards. Yum yum yum.
